Dwarven Forge Terrain

Ok. I admit it. I wish….I could afford this stuff. It is awesome without a doubt. It is also expensive. This product is the brainchild of an artist named Stefan Pokorny. He created the concept and the company and most of the original artwork. I have played a few times with him at NTRPG. He is a great guy and a great artist.

This is another article without affiliate links. I am promoting his work because I like the guy and I love his product. I just cannot afford it myself.

At the 2022 NTRPG I played in a session run by another fellow who was running a Village of Hommlet and Moathouse adventure. This guy, whose name I have forgotten, ran a Temple of Elemental Evil game the following year. Both adventures used complete sets of Dwarven Forge pieces. Stefan was so impressed with the set that he and his wife (or girlfriend as the case might be) came down that Sunday morning and played with us.

The setup was awesome and we played well past the time slot allotted. The hotel did not seem to mind and my flight kept getting delayed anyway so I did not care.

There are tons of different pieces and sets offered by Dwarven Forge. Pieces can be bought unpainted or pre-painted. There are dungeon sets, village sets, cavern sets and a whole lot more.

In the past I have played in one of Stefan’s games where he had a massive cavern set up with elemental nodes sort of like the Temple of Elemental Nodes. At Gen Con one year I saw a massive setup that he had made with a castle on the floor of the Lucas Oil Field. All of it looks incredibly impressive.
